Thank you to the Humane Society for helpful information about how to submit a bill for Kansas.
I have been amazed at how the news has shown interest and found this. Their interest has helped spread the word. Thank you to the newspapers and TV. Ark Valley News, KAKE News, FOX4KC, Wichita Eagle
Thank you to all who have signed the petition showing your support that Kansas and other states should be joining the first 18 states who have already passed this type of bill.
I have found another antifreeze that is safer. Prestone LowTox

March 7, 2012: I was honored to be asked by Senator McGinn to take part in the resolution on stopping antifreeze poisoning by going to Topeka and being there to help present the resolution before the senate. I was also a page for the day. We also met with Midge Grinstead with the HSUS (who has helped us in our efforts writing the bill and is guiding us through the process.) That afternoon I sat in the senate room and when senator McGinn presented my resolution, I got to stand in the front and watch. In the end, ALL the senators/etc. surprised me with a standing ovation. This summer, I will be writing letters to all the senators thanking them and reminding them of my cause. In January of next year I will be going to Topeka to help push the resolution into law. I am excited to learn more about the process.
If you haven't signed my petition yet, please do so. I have turned the numbers into my senator from March but would love to see that number grow before January 2013. Thank you for all the kind words I have gotten through the email. I am trying to keep up with responses. I also have school and sports so it may be a little slow but I will get them done.

Hi, My name is Aaron, Age 12 and my buddy Nikko, Age 6.
I just lost my best friend, show dog, and part of our family because of antifreeze poisoning.
I am trying to make a bad thing into something good for others.
My mission is two part:
1. To make everyone aware of a new safer antifreeze on the market.
2. To get a petition signed to let our state government know that it is time to pass "Nikko's law" project that will make it mandatory for ALL antifreeze contain a bitter tasting additive.
